Last night we hosted the third annual EuchreFest. It was a blast. Lots of Euchre was played, of course, and it was great to see good friends again. Everyone brought a Midwest-style dish to share, to help sustain us through the evening. We played Euchre for about 2-1/2 hours, and then fabulous prizes were awarded.

Nathalie and Kurt, in the center, were the evening's winners. They won a pint glass etched with EuchreFest 2012 Champs. They are bracketed by Morgan and I, the evening's big losers. Wow, we were bad. But ...
... for being the losers, we won the Euchre pot. Anytime that a team got Euchre'd throughout the evening, they had to contribute $0.50 to the pot. We netted $10! Mira's college fund has a start! Let's see, $10 at 5% interest after 18 years ... hmm ...
